Using HowToRecordAudio.com (“the Site”) means accepting these terms. They are short and they are not unusual, but please read them. If you do not accept them, do not use the Site.
The Site provides a free browser-based audio recorder and a collection of editorial articles and software reviews. The recorder captures audio through your device's microphone and lets you download the result. No registration is required, and all audio processing happens locally in your browser. We neither transmit nor store your recordings.

Anything you record with this tool is yours. We acquire no rights over it, no licence to it, and no copy of it.
The design, code, articles and reviews on this Site belong to HowToRecordAudio.com and are protected by copyright. You may link to any page freely and quote briefly with attribution. Republishing whole articles, or copying the site's code or layout wholesale, requires our written permission.
Our software reviews are independent editorial opinion based on our own testing. Product names, logos and trademarks mentioned in them belong to their respective owners, and no affiliation or endorsement is implied in either direction.
Software changes constantly. Prices, licence conditions, features and system requirements described here may be out of date by the time you read them, and vendors sometimes change terms without notice. Always verify current details with the vendor before you buy or rely on a program. We are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of our reviews, and we are not party to any agreement between you and a software vendor.
The recorder uses the open-source lamejs library for MP3 encoding, licensed under the LGPL, and loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Pages on this Site link to external websites we do not control. Following those links is at your own risk, and their terms and privacy policies apply once you arrive.
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Site will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors.
Recordings live in your browser's memory until you download them. We cannot guarantee that any recording will be captured, retained or exported successfully. Audio can be lost to a browser crash, a closed or refreshed tab, a flat battery, an operating-system interruption, insufficient memory, or any number of other things outside our control. Downloading promptly, and testing before an important session, is your responsibility. For recordings you cannot repeat, use desktop software that writes to disk as it records.

We may revise these terms. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes. Continued use after a revision means you accept it.
These terms are governed by applicable law, and any dispute arising from them falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
